A modern tale of finding fortune in the world of the West Texas oil rigs
See the most popular movies and TV series by writer/director Taylor Sheridan on IMDb, ranked by user ratings. A landman, at least one working in the oil industry, will act as a middleman between exploration companies and landowners.
Essentially, they manage the land and secure leases so they can extract oil and gas
The landowners' job is usually to negotiate and negotiate contracts with landowners with mineral rights to lease those rights to the company they represent. As foremen on the job site, they build roads, worker dormitories (camp), assemble excavation machinery, and drill the well itself, especially in remote locations.

They are also part of the Fixer, Problem Solver, and Facilitator.. I have to start by saying that I am a huge fan of almost everything Taylor Sheridan has done (Yellowstone, The Mayor of Kingstown, 1923, 1883, Tulsa King, Levice, Sicario, Hell or Highwater, Wind River, etc, etc).
This is another hit for Sheridan
He hits home run after home run and Landman is no different. Landman is set in modern day Texas where everyone from billionaires to roughnecks are trying to get rich off the oil industry.
The series follows Tommy Norris (Billy Bob Thornton) as he tries to get his company to the top during the oil boom
I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good new series to watch, especially if you are a Taylor Sheridan fan.
